Welcome to BellBorne Farm

BellBorne Farm is home to Full Peruvian, true black, maroon, and 100% full Accoyo Suri Alpacas.

BellBorne Farm is situated on 10 acres, "Down by the Old Mill Stream," in Findlay, Ohio.

Findlay is home to Tell Taylor, the composer of the song, "Down by the Old Mill Stream." While the current land space allows for the raising of a larger number of animals, doing so would detract from our mission.

Our Mission & Our Story

We stress Quality over Quantity! Although our love for animals grows daily, our mission is to breed quality animals, not quantity. By keeping our herd to a manageable level we can ensure that the greatest care will be given to each animal.

As the sole owners and caretakers of BellBorne Farm, we, James and Carmela, will accomplish our mission through a quality breeding program and daily hands on care of each animal. We believe this approach produces and develops a superior quality, well adjusted animal ready to enter the showring.

Upon our arrival to Findlay and our new home, we took one look at the property and said, "We need animals!" With a barn, an office, and a maintenance building already on the property we were well on our way. Although we do not have any children, we treat our animals with the love and affection as if they were our children. Carmela's experience with animals can be traced to her family's horse business in Lexington, KY, while James continues to learn through daily operations and lots of reading.

Our current occupations and work schedules ensure we concentrate on breeding a small number of quality animals rather then a large quantity of average animals. Carmela holds her M.D. specialty in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and keeps a full schedule of patients Monday-Friday. James is a full time law student after serving in the war on terrorism as an Officer and pilot flying the AH-64D Apache Longbow Attack Helicopter for the U.S. Army. Carmela is a veteran Medical Officer of the U.S. Army.
